DJ Greenguy, originally from Philadelphia and now based in Los Angeles, is a well-known disc jockey, musician, music engineer, and record producer. Since 2008, he has been a constant presence on S.O.A. Radio and also featured as a guest host on the DJ King Assassin TV Show.
Launching his career under the pseudonym "Kwin MD", he ventured into music production in 1999 and released his premiere album, "Step into my Office," in November 2000. This album was made available on digital platforms and in physical stores in Richmond, VA. During his time in Virginia, DJ Greenguy formed a partnership with rapper PL, also known as Paul Love. Over a span of five years, they performed live shows and recorded an album across a myriad of cities including Virginia Beach, Richmond, VA, Virginia Tech, Washington, DC, Baltimore, MD, and Philly.
The duo established the group Common Ground. However, creative differences led them to discontinue making music together. Despite this, DJ Greenguy kept the Common Ground momentum alive from 2005 to 2010, culminating in the digital release of an album named "Andromeda" in 2011 and two street albums in 2008. The group's most recent release, "Still Laughin," hit the market in 2014 in both digital and physical formats.
In 2010, the artist transitioned from "Kwin MD" to his previously used alias, "DJ Greenguy", under which he had been producing for Common Ground since 2000. As DJ Greenguy, he made significant contributions to Common Ground, recording and mixing several songs over a span of ten years.
In 2013, a joint album, "The Real McKome", was released featuring Kwin MD and DJ Greenguy, with guest performances from the extended Common Ground and S.O.A. family. This release marked his move to the West Coast.
By 2015, DJ Greenguy featured on the Psych Word Radio show, hosted by Rob Girard, on Connecticut's 88.7 FM. Currently, he is working on a track alongside Bossolo and Rhyme Scheme for the upcoming "Makaveli" movie soundtrack.
In a recent endeavor, DJ Greenguy and DJ King Assassin joined forces to launch a new radio station, 98.5 FM TheMix, in Los Angeles. DJ Greenguy's latest offering is his stunning new album 'Give A Dogg A Bone', featuring standout club radio tracks such as 'For My Hood' and 'Heavy Hittaz'.
